OPHIR CEMETERY, OPHIR, SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, COLORADO

transcribed by Jim Davenport

This is a listing from the small Ophir Cemetery, Ophir, San Miguel County, CO. There are no Woodmen or civil war vets that I could find, but I did document all of the marked graves that I could locate. To find it you need to take County road /Forest road #630 east from CO Highway #145 for a couple of miles. When you get to what the locals call east ophir there is a Y in the road, take the lewft fork and then the next left turn road to the edge of the forest, take a right turn (you have to turn) for 50 yards or so and the cemetery will be on the North side of the road. You have to look hard to see it. The turn off onto the forest road is about 7 miles south of the Telluride turnoff of 145.
